All teams intending to play in the State Qualifier and/or State Finals must complete:
1. Team Entry Form,
2. Team Roster Form,
3. Grade Level Confirmation Form,
4. Provide payment of the Tournament Entry Fee by the deadlines provided on the Team Entry Form. We will research each team to ensure that all individuals on the roster live in the school district they claim.
Indy Hoops teams that will not be making any roster changes do not need to resubmit Team Roster Forms and Grade Level Confirmation Forms. Indiana Boys Basketball will obtain this information directly from Indy Hoops.
All above referenced forms may be found by clicking the "Forms" link at the top of the page.
Any "all-school" team may register to play in the Regional Qualifier Tournaments in Franklin, Indiana. The top four teams from the Regional Qualifier will move on to the State Finals.
There are several ways in which teams can qualify for the State Finals.
No teams from combined school districts, sometimes referred to as "all-star" or "AAU" teams, are accepted. When determining whether your team is defined as an "all-school" team, please ask yourself the question, "If my players were picked up by a school bus from their residence, what public high school would the players be taken to?" If the answer is that all players would attend the same public high school, your team is defined as an "all-school" team.
"A" vs. "B" Division
Each grade is divided into "A" and "B" divisions based on strength and size of the overall school district. If your school district's high school is a 6A football team (meaning the school district is among the largest in the State), your school will be required to qualify their top two teams in the "A" division, prior to entering a third team into the "B" division. All school districts that are 3A-1A, will be allowed to enter directly into the "B" divisions of their grade; however, those teams may, at their option, enter into the "A" division if they believe their team is strong enough to compete at the "A" level.
